Visas

The Visa Section staff deal with entry clearance work handling visa applications for different types of visa. There is a certain visa application process at our Embassy. We only accept visa applications from Uzbek citizens and other nationals legally resident in Uzbekistan.

Political / Press & Public Affairs

P/PPA Section runs the Embassy's public diplomacy activity in contact with policymakers, media, civil society and wider public.

The Section staff consider projects aimed at sustainable development, democracy and good governance, human rights promotion in Uzbekistan, poverty alleviation and manages successful bids that are supported by the Embassy.

The Section also liases with the British Council in organising cultural events and educational programmes.

British Council Tashkent

The British Council in Uzbekistan supports educational reform, offers services to teachers and students of English and internationally recognized examinations such as IELTS, and promotes creative partnerships between British and Uzbek artists.
